HOYC Summer 2019 Skills Camp - Session 2: 

Participation:
HOYC skills development camp is open to boys and girls, ages 5-15. Cheerleaders must be at least 5 years old and no more than 15 years old as of October 1, 2019. 

The camps are intended for new or returning cheerleaders who want to learn or brush up on basic cheer skills including cheers/chants, dance, tumbling and stunts. Cheerleaders are welcome to attend one or both sessions of camp.

Registration

There is no cost for the camp, but you must register your child online prior to bringing her/him to the camp.

Location:

Both camp sessions will be held at the Herndon Middle School sports field. 

What to Wear/Bring:

Wear clothing appropriate for the weather, sneakers (no sandals or slip on shoes), and hair in a ponytail.

Bring a water bottle and any emergency medications needed (e.g., inhaler, epipen).

Herndon Optimist Sports National Night Out: 

Who Participates: All families from Herndon and surrounding communities are welcome - there is no charge to attend the event.

The Herndon Optimist Club and its volunteer coaches host stations around the park helping kids try out baseball, basketball, cheerleading, field hockey, football, and lacrosse. We will also have a face painting station and serve pizza to kids who collect hand stamps from at least three sports stations. In addition, members of the Herndon Police Department and local elected officials stop by during the event to greet the families and take pictures with the kids.

Location: Haley Smith Park (corner of Van Buren St and Herndon Pkwy)
